Antique Floral Trunk outdoor It is newly made fromGansu, circa 1920 This attractive old trunk is in its original black lacquer finish with simple paintings of peony flowers and foliage. Once in more vibrant shades, the colours have faded and worn to more muted tones of creams and greens. The peony is a symbol for high rank and status in China, and is often seen on Chinese furniture to symbolise the importance of the owner. The brass hardware is still intact and would have allowed the trunk to be
